SAUNDRA SANTIAGO (Franca Fortuna) made her film debut in Stuart Rosenberg’s THE POPE OF GREENWICH VILLAGE and later appeared in Brian DePalma’s film CARLITO’S WAY and in the role of Elena in Roger Hedden’s HIGH LIFE. Her numerous television roles include, most recently, the recurring role of Jeannie & Joan Cusamano on HBO’s critically acclaimed, award-winning series THE SOPRANOS. Santiago is also known forplaying the leading role of detective Gina Calabrese on MIAMI VICE and the part of Carmen Santos on GUIDING LIGHT. Other roles include guest appearances on LAW & ORDERand NEW YORK UNDERCOVER, and in many movies of the week. Santiago appeared on Broadway in the Tony nominated musical CHRONICLE OF A DEATH FORETOLD andthe Tony nominated play A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE. Off-Broadway credits include BEDFELLOWS, THE YOUNG GIRL AND THE MONSOON, HELLO AGAIN, SPIKE HEELS and ROAD TO NIRVANA. Santiago played the titled role in the road company of EVITA. You can often catch her performing her club act in New York at 88’s Arci’s Place and Danny’s Skylight Room. Saundra is a member of the Actor’s Studio.
